Dominik Bartmański is a cultural sociologist, since 2022 he is a Heisenberg Fellow of German Research Foundation at the chair of Cultural Sociology at Humboldt University in Berlin, and a Weatherhead Scholar at Harvard in the academic year 2025-2026. He is the author of Matters of Revolution (Routledge, 2022) and co-author of Vinyl: The Analog Record in the Digital Age (Bloomsbury, 2015) and Labels: Making Independent Music (Bloomsbury, 2020). He co-edited the volume Iconic Power (2012) with Jeffrey Alexander and Bernhard Giesen, and has published articles in peer-reviewed journals such as Urban Studies, European Journal of Social Theory, Journal of Consumer Culture, American Journal of Cultural Sociology, Acta Sociologica, etc.
