Lars E.F. Johannessen is a Professor at the Centre for the Study of Professions in Norway. His research spans cultural sociology, microsociology, and science and technology studies, focusing on topics such as prestige evaluations in medicine, informal priority setting in emergency departments, the implementation of new technologies in schools, and the microsociology of autism. Johannessen earned his PhD from Oslo Metropolitan University in 2018, and his work has been published in journals such as New Media & Society, Poetics, Symbolic Interaction, Sociology of Health & Illness, and European Societies. He is also the founder and leader of the Norwegian Microsociological Network.
