Sara de Andrade Silva is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Amsterdam, specializing in Cultural Sociology. Holding a PhD in sociology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, she currently researches the global rise of contemporary and modern art in private museums. Her work explores the intersection between critical cultural production, private and corporate influence in the art world, and the audiences’ engagement with contemporary art.
