Anne Marie Champagne is a cultural sociologist whose research, writing, and art explore the intersections of materiality and meaning, embodiment and the senses, aesthetic theory, and the production of the social self. She is coeditor of Interpreting the Body: Between Meaning and Matter (BUP, 2023) and author of “Towards a Strong Cultural Sociology of the Body and Embodiment” (BUP, 2023). Her poetry has appeared in The Southern Review, Tin House, The Journal (Ohio State University), and Spillway.
