Guicheng Liu is a PhD candidate in Art Theory at Peking University. His research lies at the intersection of cultural sociology and performance studies, with particular interests in intercultural performance, performance ethnography, and cultural performance in East and Southeast Asia. His work has appeared in Critical Arts and other journals, with an article forthcoming in Asian Theatre Journal.
