Johan Gøtzsche-Astrup is Assistant Professor of Political Science at Aarhus University. His work explores how critique is ascribed meaning in democracies. His most recent project asks how activists and journalists construct themselves as truth-tellers, and how their audiences interpret such claims to truth. His articles have appeared in journals such as Sociological Theory, The British Journal of Sociology, Sociology, Social Forces, European Journal of Social Theory and Cultural Sociology.
