We are happy to announce that CCS alum and Faculty Fellow Nadya Jaworksy has been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor at Masaryk University in the Czech Republic, where she is also the Director of The Center for the Cultural Sociology of Migration. The CCS has a long relationship with the Center for Cultural Sociology in the Department of Sociology at Masaryk.
Nadya’s latest book, The Boundaries of Belonging: Online Work of Immigration-Related Social Movement Organizations, has just been published by Palgrave Macmillan in the Cultural Sociology Series. Her current research focuses on newspaper coverage of refugees entering Canada and the United States.
