During Yale’s spring break, CCS Directors Jeffrey Alexander and Fred Wherry took part in the conference, Middle Classes, Protest and Social Change in Africa and Beyond, organized by Dr. Antje Daniel, Universität Bayreuth, Prod. Hennie Kotze, Stellenbosch University, Prof. Henning Melber, Nordic Africa Institute, and Dr. Florian Stoll, Universität Bayreuth. Dr. Stoll is currently a CCS Postdoctoral Fellow, and initiated the inclusion of Jeff and Fred in this event.
